Personhood FL ProLife PAC recently contacted all candidates for state and federal office in Florida as well as all candidates for local offices in 36 of Florida’s largest counties. Rather than asking them where they stand on the sanctity of human life, we asked them to agree to our comprehensive prolife principles covering not only abortion but also abortion funding, RU-486, fetal stem cell research, human cloning, fetal tissue research, assisted suicide and euthanasia. We also required that candidates sign a Personhood Affirmation to defend all innocent human life including preborn babies conceived in rape or incest, the elderly, and the disabled and sign the Florida ProLife Personhood Amendment Petition. We’ll release our list of endorsed candidates Tuesday, July 31 and expect to endorse over 100 candidates including current congressman and former congressmen running for US Senate. Until then, I thought you’d like to hear how our endorsement process has been received.

Every election cycle, I receive a barrage of phone calls and emails from voters wanting to know where the candidates stand on the issues. I enjoy these calls because it shows me these citizens care enough to make informed decisions over who they vote for. I think we all agree that we need more informed voters and fewer voters voting based on party, skin color, ethnicity, etc. (I’m sure you remember the exit poll video where Obama voters showed their lack of knowledge of the current political leaders and the video where Obama voters said they voted for him because of his prolife stance and that they liked his choice of Sarah Palin as Vice President.)

We are 1 day from victory! Conservative candidates do need your help to win! Several races, including the governor’s race and several proposed constitutional amendments, are neck and neck and will come down to the wire. Your vote will count this year! Midterm elections are won by the side that shows up at the polls. Make sure you show up at the polls so that conservative candidates and judges win, and activist judges get tossed. If you haven’t voted yet, make sure you get out and vote tomorrow! Make sure you take your sample ballot with you. Today is the last Sunday to Distribute Voter Guides before the election! Most Saint Lucie County churches and some Indian River County churches received packets of the Florida Christian Coalition Voter Guide. Each packet also contains a letter to the pastor explaining the voter guides and the Biblical reasons for informing church members of what the Bible says about issues and where the candidates stand on the issues. St Lucie County churches also received one copy of the St. Lucie County Christian Coalition Voter Guide to duplicate for their congregation. Please distribute voter guides in church today.

FL Christian Coalition Voter Guides are in for Indian River, Okeechobee, Martin and St Lucie Counties! I need 20 volunteers in each of the above counties to distribute Local (St Lucie County) and Florida Christian Coalition (all counties) voter guides to local churches, synagogues, ministerial associations, and civic organizations. We will have printed copies of the Florida Christian Coalition Voter Guides available for distribution this week in all counties. In St Lucie County, we will distribute one local Christian Coalition voter guide per church and ask the churches to make additional copies.

ELECTION ALERT: THIS IS THE LAST WEEKEND TO REGISTER VOTERS
Time is running out to register voters for the General Election. To vote in the November 2nd election, a person must be registered by October 4th, and churches can legally register their members to vote and preach on Biblical principles as the apply to government.
With the potential for many Florida races to be decided by only a few votes, YOU can make a difference by organizing a voter registration drive in your church! This is an important election. Will we elect a new Governor and U.S. Senator in Florida who hold pro-life and pro-family convictions–or not?

In 40 Days we will vote on candidates and amendments that provide the opportunity to fundamentally change our cities, counties, states, and nation, for the better or for the worse. (We’ve seen plenty of the former type of change lately.) To aid you in your selection of candidates and amendments, we will soon have state Christian Coalition Voter Guides available for all counties and local Christian Coalition voter guides available for St Lucie County. I will also endorse or support local, state, and federal candidates and take positions on the proposed constitutional amendments. Early voting starts today and Election Day is only 15 days away. Thankfully, we have several resources to help us decide who to vote for. I am happy to inform you that local Christian Coalition Voter Guides are available for St Lucie County at www.FLVotesValues.com. I also expect state Christian Coalition Voter Guides for Indian River, St Lucie, Martin, and all other Florida counties to be available later today at http://www.ccfla.org/guides.php. St Lucie County voters may also wish to view the League of Women Voters forum and the St Lucie Chamber of Commerce Candidate Questionnaire. I encourage you to utilize these resources to educate yourself on where the candidates stand on the issues.
