The Christmas Carol That Demands Liberty and Justice for All!

Living Nativity Manger

Do you know which Christmas Carol demands liberty and justice for all? I’m sure you’ve sung it 100 times or more. This carol was so controversial when written that it was once banned in churches in the country in which it was written. O’ Holy Night was written in 1847 by Placide Cappeau as a …

Sermon, Will Abortion Ever End? No America is Too Divided on This Issue!

I was recently speaking with someone who said that abortion will never end because America is too divided on this issue. Is this true? Is America too divided on abortion? If we were to roll the clock back 160 years, wouldn’t we have found America deeply divided on another issue, slavery? I’m sure that some …

This time of year, many examine themselves to determine where they need to change and make New Year’s resolutions. Some may even have already broken their resolutions. After the Trump victory, many Hillary Clinton supporters and even many Donald Trump supporters have experienced shock and awe! This time of year, people are decorating for Halloween, putting up graveyards, creating haunted houses, watching scary movies and television shows, etc. Jesus prayed that His disciples would be in the world but not of the world. Applying Biblical Principles to the Proposed Constitutional Amendments and St Lucie County Referendums

Florida Constitution

As Floridians go to the polls to vote on constitutional amendments, it is important to apply Biblical principles to the proposed constitutional amendments and county referendums. It is important also to remember that The Florida Constitution is the supreme law of our state subordinate only to the US Constitution. We never want to put evil …

Sermon, The Origin of Thanksgiving, Pastor Bryan Longworth

Have you ever noticed how stores switch from Halloween to Christmas while totally bypassing Thanksgiving? It’s as if they hope that we’ll skip the holiday altogether and spend more time focused on buying Christmas presents. Well, God wants us to give thanks, not only this time of the year but all year, and we have …

Where Do the Candidates Stand on the Sanctity of Human Life?

Where do the candidates in your area stand on the sanctity of human life? In the past, you had to guess. You didn’t really know all the way. In fact, many pro-life and pro-family organizations in their voter guides merely asked: “do you oppose abortion except in the cases of rape, incest, and life of …

What Does the Dark Knight Rises Shooting at the Colorado Movie Theater Say about America, Pastor Bryan Longworth, Covenant Tabernacle

As we gather together to worship the Lord, our hearts are saddened by the shooting that happened in Colorado, and I think we must ask ourselves what does The Dark Knight Rises shooting tell us about America? What does this tell us about our country? Where have we gone wrong that a young person can walk into a theater, a bright person, someone that is in a PhD program, can walk into a theater with a bulletproof vest, helmet, gas mask, four weapons, and thousands of rounds of ammunition and kill 12 people and wound dozens of others? Certainly God has some answers for us. We’re going to look to see what the word of God has to say concerting this subject.

Sermon, 2012 – The End of an Error! Pastor Bryan Longworth, Covenant Tabernacle

You’ve probably seen the bumper sticker that reads: 2012: The end of an error. It’s probably on the car of a Republican who wants to see the end of the Obama administration.

2012 is a new year, and with a new year, we look for change. We look for the new year to be better than the previous year.

Certainly, we have been in some tough economic times in this country. These times have led many to ask, “How’s that hope and change working for you?” Certainly for a lot of people, not as well as they had hoped.

Sermon, 12-18-11, What Kind of Nation Have We Become When We Value Possessions More Than Human Life, Pastor Bryan Longworth, Covenant Tabernacle

You may recall the video on the Internet of the little girl in China who wandered away from her mom and wandered into the road where she was ran over by a van. Since China is a police state with cameras everywhere, the event was caught on video. You can see the passenger of the van look out and see the girl before the van drives away. Multiple people passed by, saw the girl dying in the middle of the street, and just walked on by.
I want to take you to another scene, one in America where shoppers walked over a dying man to preserve their place in the black Friday line. What kind of country have we become when life is so invaluable and when our focus is so much on material possessions and not on glorifying God, and when in this time economic uncertainty, in this time of need, in this time when we have a record number of foreclosures and people can’t pay their bills, we see more money spent on black Friday than any other Christmas ever? What kind of people have we become?
Watch the full sermon to hear how we need to seek to glorify God more than our possessions, restore the sanctity of human life, and restore fiscal responsibility. Mentioned in this sermon Abortion, the ProLife Personhood Movement, the Tea Party Movement, and Occupy Wall Street.

Sermon, 12/4/11, Why The Herman Cain Express Suffered a Massive Train Wreck, Character Does Count! Bryan Longworth, Covenant Tabernacle

If you read my previous post, Florida Presidency 5 Report: Why Did Delegates Hop on the Herman Cain Train?, you know that I was a delegate at Florida’s Presidency 5 (P5) Presidential Debate and Straw Poll held in Orlando FL. I supported, campaigned for, and voted for Herman Cain. I supported Cain because I believed the message he so eloquently presented, trusted that he was a man of integrity, and sensed the momentum would carry him to the top. As you know, that straw poll launched Cain’s campaign to the top of the Republican Presidential field and even above President Barack Obama, but the Cain Train has been derailed by accusations of sexual harassment and a 13 year affair. I addressed this topic in my sermon preached December 4, 2011:

I’m sure you’ve heard the news by now: The Herman Cain Express has suffered a severe train wreck. Why is it that Cain’s presidential campaign ended in disgrace. It is because character does count, especially if you’re a Republican. You see, there is a double standard in the media, and we have witnessed this time and time again. Bill Clinton’s multiple affairs prior to running for the presidency were totally ignored b y the mainstream media when Clinton ran for president. Our own St Lucie County School Board Member Kathryn Hensley said

We will not give up! We Will End Abortion! Will You Help?

With the loss of Mississippi’s Initiative 26, many in the prolife movement and the media have asked what is our strategy here in Florida. They are quick to point out that Mississippi is more prolife than Florida and ask how we think we can win if a similar initiative can’t even pass in Mississippi.
The good news is that leading up to and following the Mississippi vote, Personhood FL has linked up with new volunteers who are willing to help make the case for life in their county! We currently are working on a plan to contact every church in Florida between now and the end of the year so that the churches can present the Florida ProLife Personhood Petition to their parishioners in January, but we need your help to accomplish this. Will you help us take the message of life to every church, every pastor in your county? Please join us for a conference call/training tomorrow (Tuesday, November 15 from 9 – 10 PM) where we’ll go over how to contact the churches and pastors and the new FL ProLife Personhood Petition. This call will cover key strategies for ending abortion and protecting all innocent human life. Register to join us on the call below.

9/16/2001 We will never forget 911, A Call to Repentance for America, Pastor Longworth

The sermon above was preached by Pastor Chuck Longworth, Pastor Bryan Longworth, and Jeremy Longworth Sunday, September 16, 2001 at Covenant Tabernacle Church in White City, FL. If you recall the time, you recall that America was in shock from the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the failed attack on the White House. This was the Sunday when all football and baseball games were postponed. Churches were filled. Pastors called for repentance. Americans prayed. Democrats and Republicans even sang God Bless America together, but was the 911 attacks a sign that God’s blessings and protection had been lifted from America? If so, what it necessary to return God’s blessing, protection, and favor to America? These questions were explored from the Bible by Pastor Chuck Longworth, Pastor Bryan Longworth, and Jeremy Longworth.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 27:1 “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. (NKJV) The United States of America has enjoyed the greatest of God’s blessing and protection over the years. The Lord has guarded our cities and our country for attacks from within and without, yet the Lord wasn’t guarding our city 911! And many will ask why was He not guarding our city? I will say that it is because we as a nation have left His commandments. We as a nation have departed from the principles, the moral foundation that this nation was founded upon. Many, even those in the church, have thought that America is so great that God couldn’t possibly fulfill His purpose in this earth without
