Help Print & Distribute the New Florida ProLife Personhood Amendment Petition!

Personhood FL has launched a new prolife petition called the Florida ProLife Personhood Amendment, and we need your help to print and distribute it. Will you volunteer to print and distribute copies of the petition to your family, friends, neighbors, church members, etc? Will your church print prolife petitions for their members to sign Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 22? Do you know a prolife printer who is willing to print large quantities of the petition at a reduced cost or no cost? Are you willing to donate to help Personhood FL print and distribute petitions to every county in Florida?

Everyone who previously signed the old Florida Personhood Amendment, will need to sign the new Florida ProLife Personhood Amendment Petition. (Please sign the new petition in January.) Personhood FL Launches New Florida ProLife Personhood Amendment Petition!

Have you heard the news? Personhood FL has launched a new prolife petition called the Florida ProLife Personhood Amendment. Personhood FL will collect petition signatures from registered Florida voters January 2012 – December 2013. We need your help to contact every church, every pastor in your county!

Because of a bill passed by the FL Legislature this year that changed the shelf life of the petition signatures from 4 years to 2 years, we are launching a new two year petitioning effort beginning January 2012. We have taken this opportunity to launch the new Florida ProLife Personhood Amendment based on language endorsed by

Last Sunday to Distribute Christian Coalition Voter Guides!

Today is the last Sunday to Distribute Voter Guides before the election! Most Saint Lucie County churches and some Indian River County churches received packets of the Florida Christian Coalition Voter Guide. Each packet also contains a letter to the pastor explaining the voter guides and the Biblical reasons for informing church members of what the Bible says about issues and where the candidates stand on the issues. (Read a copy of the letter here: http://bryanlongworth.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/20101028-Pastors-Voter-Guide-Letter.pdf.) St Lucie County churches also received one copy of the St. Lucie County Christian Coalition Voter Guide to duplicate for their congregation. Please distribute voter guides in church today.

I Need Your Help Distributing Christian Coalition Voter Guides

We have printed copies of the FL Christian Coalition Voter Guide coming this week for Indian River, Okeechobee, Martin and St Lucie Counties. I need 20 volunteers in each of the above counties to distribute Local (St Lucie County) and Florida Christian Coalition (all counties) voter guides to local churches, synagogues, ministerial associations, and civic organizations. We will have printed copies of the Florida Christian Coalition Voter Guides available for distribution this week in all counties. In St Lucie County, we will distribute one local Christian Coalition voter guide per church as ask the churches to make additional copies.

Florida Supreme Court and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th District Court of Appeals Judges Up for Retention

Sadly, most Floridians pay little attention to the judges up for retention which is why they normally are retained with 65 – 75% of the vote. This must stop, we need a network of attorneys statewide to be constitutional watchdogs in the courts by reporting on how the judges rule on various issues before them, and we the people need to educate ourselves and cast out the judges who view our constitution as “a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary, which they may twist and shape into any form they please.” (Jefferson) For more info and judicial recommendations for the Florida Supreme Court and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th District Court of Appeals

Florida Constitutional Amendment Recommendations

Several of you have asked me to write recommendations for the proposed state constitutional amendments and non binding referendum. I’ll give my recommendations first. If you don’t wish to or don’t have time to read my rationale on each, you don’t need to. I have provided my rationale below however along with links to the actual text that will go into the constitution if approved by 60% of the voters. Finally, I have included a link to a sermon I preached this past Sunday where I applied Biblical principles to the proposed constitutional amendments. Look for judges recommendations Sunday.

When viewing online, you can also click on each candidate’s answers to see his/her complete questionnaire. Early voting starts today and Election Day is only 15 days away. Thankfully, we have several resources to help us decide who to vote for. I am happy to inform you that local Christian Coalition Voter Guides are available for St Lucie County at www.FLVotesValues.com. I also expect state Christian Coalition Voter Guides for Indian River, St Lucie, Martin, and all other Florida counties to be available later today at http://www.ccfla.org/guides.php. St Lucie County voters may also wish to view the League of Women Voters forum and the St Lucie Chamber of Commerce Candidate Questionnaire. I encourage you to utilize these resources to educate yourself on where the candidates stand on the issues.
Several have asked me to provide a list of candidates I’m endorsing and/or supporting in the primary election. I am going to provide this list for State and St Lucie County Races.
