8 Days to Victory! Help Conservative Candidates Win!

We are only 8 Days away from victory! Time is running out! Conservatives need your help to win! Floridians need your help to get rid of liberal judges and to pass good amendments and defeat bad ones. A coalition of Tea Party Groups (the Treasure Coast Tea Party, the TEA Party Patriots of the Treasure Coast, and the Glenn Beck 9-12 Group of St Lucie County have joined together to actively support conservatives running for office and to oppose amendment 4. We need volunteers to fill two hour time slots at early voting polling locations to distributing courtesy cards. (Download a copy of the courtesy card here to pass out to your family, friends, neighbors, etc. here: http://bryanlongworth.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/2010-General-TEA-Party-Courtesy-Card.pdf)

Florida Supreme Court and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th District Court of Appeals Judges Up for Retention

Sadly, most Floridians pay little attention to the judges up for retention which is why they normally are retained with 65 – 75% of the vote. This must stop, we need a network of attorneys statewide to be constitutional watchdogs in the courts by reporting on how the judges rule on various issues before them, and we the people need to educate ourselves and cast out the judges who view our constitution as “a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary, which they may twist and shape into any form they please.” (Jefferson) For more info and judicial recommendations for the Florida Supreme Court and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th District Court of Appeals

Florida Constitutional Amendment Recommendations

Several of you have asked me to write recommendations for the proposed state constitutional amendments and non binding referendum. I’ll give my recommendations first. If you don’t wish to or don’t have time to read my rationale on each, you don’t need to. I have provided my rationale below however along with links to the actual text that will go into the constitution if approved by 60% of the voters. Finally, I have included a link to a sermon I preached this past Sunday where I applied Biblical principles to the proposed constitutional amendments. Look for judges recommendations Sunday.

Last Weekend to Register People to Vote

ELECTION ALERT: THIS IS THE LAST WEEKEND TO REGISTER VOTERS

Time is running out to register voters for the General Election. To vote in the November 2nd election, a person must be registered by October 4th, and churches can legally register their members to vote and preach on Biblical principles as the apply to government.

With the potential for many Florida races to be decided by only a few votes, YOU can make a difference by organizing a voter registration drive in your church! This is an important election. Will we elect a new Governor and U.S. Senator in Florida who hold pro-life and pro-family convictions–or not?

Don’t Like What’s Happening in Government? Do Something About It!

Are you as tired as I am at seeing liberal candidates whose policies are destroying our cities, counties, states, and nation get elected? Are you tired of seeing your God given rights trampled? Are you tired of seeing good, conservative candidates and the values we hold dear lose? Then, you must turn off the TV, get off of your couch, and join me in campaigning for conservative candidates. I’ll tell you how you can be involved below, but first

Martin County FL Local Races – Support Conservative Candidates

Unfortunately, there is no values group in Martin Co. organized at the level of developing voters guides on local races like there is in Port St Lucie. However, please let me share my perspective on the local Martin Co. races. First there are no local values candidates per se running in Martin Co. I can only share how I voted and why. I shared this with my fellow Martin Co. pro-lifers who will probably take a different position on the Shekailo-Busha race.

We Need To Put Prayer Back in Public Schools

From the founding of our country, until the 1960s, the Bible, prayer, and the Ten Commandments played a significant role in our public school system. In the 1960s, the biggest problems schools faces were talking in class, chewing gum, and truancy. Today, our schools deal with drug and alcohol abuse, rampant sexual promiscuity (and the pregnancy, STIs – Sexually Transmitted Infections, and abortion that comes with such behavior), and violence, including rape, gang activity, and even mass murder.
